This second version includes an ESS ES9038Q2M 32bit high-fidelity decoding chip as well as an XMOS U208 USB interface with a customized Thesycon driver to cover most of the high resolution audio formats (up to PCM 384kHz / DSD 256).
With analog and digital outputs, it is the solution of choice for any compact and scalable High-Fidelity installation with many options for integration.

At the cutting edge of technology, Topping's DAC D10s uses an ES9038Q2M chip from ESS Technology. This component is among the best current hardware solutions for high-fidelity audio decoding, especially with the famous HYPERSTREAM 32 BIT architecture. This chip model is also equipped with advanced reconstruction filters and has excellent finesse in dithering.
The Q2M version is particularly appreciated in desktop and mobile devices since it consumes little energy and offers excellent performance while allowing extremely space-saving design and form-factor.
The USB-B input (USB-2 standard) operates through an XMOS U208 USB interface. This is a benchmark component that no longer has to prove itself in the world of high-fidelity music, supporting very high resolution / high sampling frequency digital streams for precise, rich and detailed listening experience.
This USB interface has an asynchronous architecture capable of overcoming digital noise as well as jitter from the source if the latter does not have reference clocks suitable for Hi-Fi audio use. This significantly increases audio accuracy compared to DACs and sound cards traditionally found in the general consumer market.
The output stage of the D10s works with an operational amplifier LME49720NA mounted on a DIP8 support. The OPA is removable and can easily be replaced by the user for testing purpose and to find the best sound signature according to one's personnal preferences.
Please note this operation is not recommended for users with no experience in operational amplifiers. Any unsuited model or improper installation could cause damage to the device.
The analog output is available on a stereo RCA connector. Just connect it to a preamplifier itself connected to a power amplifier, to an integrated amplifier or to passive speakers and the audio system is already operational. It is also possible to connect the analog output to a headphone amplifier and take advantage of all the qualities of the D10s when listening with headphones.
The D10s has a digital output available on a Coaxial SPDIF connector as well as an optical SPDIF connector. This output supports audio streams up to 24bit - 192kHz and can re-encode 1-bit streams (DSD) up to DOP64.
This feature - usually absent from this price range - allows you to bypass the conversion stage and use the D10s as a USB to S / PDIF interface. The D10s can then interface your computer on the fly with any S / PDIF device, a particularly useful function for audiophiles that already own a powerful DAC which lacks an USB input.
The USB-B input on the far right provides connection to your computer / OTG smartphone as well as powering the device. The latter therefore does not require an additional cable for its power supply which allows space-saving and clean installations even for the most limited desktop in terms of space.
With its dimensions of 103mm (width) x 146mm (depth) x 37mm (height), the D10s is one of the most compact desktop HIFI DACs available on the market.
The device is housed in an elegant 100% brushed aluminum case. A robust, durable material capable of effectively blocking any noise related to the proximity of other electronic devices, thus preventing unwanted interferences in the audio signal.
The D10s has a very elegant display on the front. Its respects the color chart of Toppping devices and allows complex installations with multiples Topping products with homogeneous general style.
The screen displays in real time the type of encoding of the audio files being played (PCM / DSD) as well as the sampling frequency of the digital stream. It allows you to check at a glance that the conversion is going as planned and that the DAC is working in the best conditions.
Measured performance is stellar for the category. If you want a very performant DAC, that is nice to look at but doesn't cost you much, D10s is for you !

- Pentru performante optime este necesara pozitionarea boxelor la o distanta de minim 30-40cm de peretele din spate pentru boxele cu bass-reflex in spate, pentru cele cu bass-reflex in fata, recomandam pozitionarea la o distanta de 10-20cm fata de peretele din spate.
- Boxele vor ajunge sa functioneze in parametrii recomandati de producator, dupa minim 50 de ore (ideal 100 ore) de functionare la volum mediu. In aceasta perioada de timp, de “rodaj a boxelor”, sunetul va fi la inceput ceva mai artificial, bass-ul nu va fi inca controlat, inaltele rigide iar vocile usor retinute, pe masura ce boxele vor functiona, veti remarca cum bas-ul devine mai controlat, mai prezent si mai voluminos, vocile si sunetele medii devin naturale si mai echilibrate, iar inaltele devin rafinate si detaliate. Exista boxe care necesita un „rodaj” mai amplu de minim 300 de ore mai ales in cazul celor care au difuzoare de kevlar, carbon sau alte materiale de acest tip. Boxele care se „rodeaza” cel mai repede sunt cele care au difuzoare de celuloza.
